  Michelle put her letter in an envelope and then her mailbox to deliver to Chris’ door (Chris doesn’t have a mailbox anywhere near where he lives; that’s why he sends letters with Twitters). Luckily the mailman had just passed by. An hour later the mailman came to Chris’ house. He was very lucky his father had asked him to get it and didn’t ask him to give the mail to him. He went up to his room and wrote back.

Dear Michelle,

 

Then who did?

 

“I did!” a very deep voice coming from his bedroom window exclaimed. “Who are you?” Chris asked as he then saw a man standing on his balcony. “I’m Professor Bruce, and my wish is to rule the world and destroy everyone standing in my way! I’ve received all of the past letters you have written to Machelle! I know all about your life and I’ve decided you’ll be the first person I’ll destroy! I will see you tomorrow!” And just like that, he left.

 

Chapter Two

 Michelle’s Pallace

 

Chris finished his letter (he first made some changes to it, of course),

Dear Michelle,

 

I just had some weird guy who calls himself “Professor Bruce” visit me saying he has received all of the past letters I’ve sent you (except for the one I wrote you in the forest, of course). He also said he is going to murder me tomorrow (what a freak!). So if you want to write a letter to me do it before 3:00 AM because that’s what time I’m leaving to go to a house far away. If your mom and dad don’t find out I could stay for a couple of days (trust me, we can keep secrets pretty good!).

Then wrote another letter to his mom and dad,

I just had some weird guy who calls himself “Professor Bruce” visit me saying he is going to murder me tomorrow (what a freak!). So I have decided to go to someone else who will believe me and convince them to let me stay at there house for a couple of days.

And that is what’s making it so hard for these two to communicate. So whenever you see “(hint)”, it will always mean something.

 

The next day Chris decided to take a journey and try to locate Machelle and see what’s taking her so long. So far he has found no sign of her. He is just lost in a forest. He brought Twitters, a pen and paper (just in case), but his letter might not get very far. In fact, he’s starting to write a letter right now!

Dear Michelle,

 

What is holding you up from writing back? Michelle, don’t worry about our parents finding out! I’m just trying to communicate with you. Anyway, I have decided to take a journey and locate you and find out why you’re not writing back. So far no sign of you and I’m stuck in the middle of a huge forest!

Just when Chris was about to give his letter to his Twitters, he heard a noise that startled him. Then, out of the bushes came his father and his mother (the new mother), holding John in her arms. “Christopher! We’ve been looking all over for you! Why have you wandered off into the forest?” his father asked. “I’m just- um, picking berries for dinner!” Chris replied. “Wonderful! But aren’t you going to need a basket? And why did you bring Twitters and a paper and pen?” “Um…. so I can keep track of how many berries I have picked!” Chris slowly said as he folded the paper so his father couldn’t see the letter. “Well if that’s all we better get home. Come home at 7:00 and you better have at least 30 or 40 berries picked.” Chris’ father said as he walked off. Chris gave his letter to Twitters and started picking berries. Since he didn’t have a basket he just used his jacket. He only picked about 15 berries, but his father didn’t mind. Chris was having a very lucky day today (hint).

 

Now it’s time I tell you what Michelle is doing. Michelle has just received Chris’ letter (that’s what I meant by “(hint)”) and has already written him back (She has very few words to say)!

Chapter One

Family

Dear Michelle,

 

I hate that our parents fighting. I never wanted to get separated from each other. I wish there could be a way to get them back together. But for now I will just write you letters like this.

                                                                                                                   Chris

 

 

Chris Mitchel had just written a letter (a letter because each parent took one child so they would each have part of the family) to his sister, Michelle Mitchel. There parents have been having some problems with relationship, so they have gotten a divorce. So everyday Chris will write a letter to Michelle, roll it up (like a scroll), and give it to his pet hawk, Twitters, to bring it to where she lives. But sometimes the she’ll get distracted and will drop the letter off in the wrong place. But Chris doesn’t know that (hint).

 

Eight months later,

Dear Machelle,

 

Why didn’t you write back to my letter? Anyway, in case you didn’t notice Dad has found a new wife and married her in October (sorry I didn’t tell you before; I forgot) and today is our new half-brother (well, my new half-brother), John’s birthday. So when he grows up, he can help us get mom and dad back together. I don’t really have anything else to say so this time just remember to write back!

Now it’s time I tell you what I meant by “(hint).” Ok, so there’s this really weird guy named Bruce who wants to destroy everyone on earth so no one will stop him from ruling the world. Now, when Twitters gets distracted, she drops the letters off to where he lives. So he has already seen the two letters I’ve previously showed to you. So right now he is really ticked off to now that there’s another person he has to destroy to rule the world.
